Adding Keyless remotes
I have a 96 A4, it dosnt have factory keyless entry as far as I know as it has an aftermarket alarm, but I dont like the alarm, and I would prefer to just carry around 1 key instead of the key and remote, is there an upgrade that you can do to implement the flip key/remote system or aftermarket, or am i pretty much stuck with wot i got?

you will need to change....
the vacuum pump in the side of the trunk and a lot of time to figure out how it is different from the stock one and if it can be adapted... or if you need to modify the harness etc etc etc.
the pump module is 8L0-862-257-n $477
you will need to replace all of your keys and lock cylinders. part no. 8d5-898-375 $365. that is without any remotes...
remotes ate 4d0-837-231-t-01c and are $75 each
folding keys for use with remotes are 4d0-837-246-b-roh and cost $69 each
So figure its going to cost a max of $1200 in parts...

you might be able to source the parts from a parts yard
try car-part.com
you might be able to locate a 97 or 98 A4 that you can get the lock cylinders from and the vac pump... plus the keys for those cylinders.
This is something for somebody like me to attempt... unless you are experienced at modding and are very good at sourcing parts, I'd say forget it.
