original set of arms now @102K miles and two regreasings

Default ehh, thats a big no-no.
WD40 is a solvent which will swell and deteriorate the internal bushings.

As well as wash what grease was still in there, then dry out. EEEkkk.

what are you thinking.. thats like mixing 50/50 Bailey's Irish Cream and lime juice in a shot glass. Mix rapidly in mouth by shaking head vigorously, then consume.
