airconditioning problem
My AC went out. I was driving, hit a large pot hole and drive up to a red light. At the red light my car began to idle low and eventually stalled out. When I turned the ignition to restart the car I heard a a loud pinging.
The compressor can spin freely, but the a/c compressor clutch will not engage. The fault codes I am getting from channel 52 are B1 (engine speed less than 200-500) and D1 (engine speed greater than 6000).
Could the RPM sensor be faulty? If so how could I test it and where is it located? Bentyly said to test the OHm reading. The OHms appeared to be fine. I also tried to jump start the compressor..this failed. It appears the a/c compressor is not getting a current??? WHat could cause this????
