alarm is possessed, keep going off, anyway to turn it off or anything
I had a fellow AW'er change the code for windows down and up by key and for one touch lock and open by key on the 2000 A4 1.8t. That was a while back, a few days ago, the alarm just started going off all the time. Something else, the car doesn't beep on locked sometimes and the LED on the front doors flash unusually fast. I also noticed that the trunk doesn't allows close well enough and sometimes the instrument cluster says its open when its closed. I try closing the trunk harder to maybe solve the issue of why it doesn't beep, you know,because if a door/window, etc is open the alarm doesn't beep unless everything is closed.
I don't know, but its damn annoying that the alarm just keeps going off, is there a way to deactivate it until I solve the problem?

i'd start at the trunk switch.....
i've had this problem with the trunk switch not engaging a few times. but opening and closing the lid has always fixed it. also try deactivating the motion sensor by pushing the button on the drivers B pillar.

like tgjl said...it's a bad switch.
If you vag it, the codes should tell you which on, but by your observations, you already know with 99% certainty. Just have to get to the switch and see what's going on. My guess is the switch is inside the trunk lid, so you'll probably have to pull the liner material and peek behind the latching mechanism.

That's your interior motion sensors...
The wind is blowing thorugh the car and moving something, setting them off. Have a friend with VAG-COM, or an Audi dealership turn down the sensitivity on the sensors. I had that problem with my parking pass blowing around, turned down the sensitivity level, no problem.
