Alignment issues and moving subframe-

My sister called me up, she had her A4 in for an Alignment and they told her that it was too far off to adjust and they have to move the subframe. They wanted at least 800 to do it, which seems completely absurd. Anyone know a good place in the Oceanside Carlsbad, CA area that would be able to do this for a decent price. Anyone who has had this done what did you pay for it?

No F'n way you should pay $800 for an alignment, even when moving the subframe.

moving the subframe is how u adjust camber on these cars

hardly anyone knows how to do it right, tell her to take it to the dealer

IIRC Mission Viejo Audi (1/2 hour north of Carlsbad) quoted $160 for an alignment.
