Alignments

A guy at the local tire shop told me I need to get my particular car aligned every 6 months. Is he just doing his sales pitch to get me to pay for the 3 year warranty on the alignment, or is he serious? My take is that I get it checked, from time to time, but the car shouldn't go out of alignment every 6 months unless something is wrong with it.

I tried to do a quick search for anything about alignments, but kept getting an error with the search page.

I'd suggest yearly alignments, 6 months is excessive for daily driving - unless you are in

an area with very poor roads.
Should cost between $75-$100 for a 4 wheel alignment (quattro)

find a new shop...unless you hit even pothole in town.

$99 at National Tire and Battery

And that's 1 year warranty.

The other place I was talking about is $150, for one year.

$72 for all four at Les Schwab

That is if you live in the NW. Only $42 if the fronts only need adjusting. I do ours annually right after the winter months - saves tires!
