Antenna Booster Module
I replaced the Symphony radio with an aftermarket radio into a 2001 A4 Quattro sedan. I get a pulsing static noise on FM. I suspect the antenna amplifier is defective.
I found one item in the driver side rear pillar and I found an orange colored module in the passenger side rear pillar.
I called the Audi parts dealer. He reported that Audi lists four part numbers with items are on the driver side with part number 8D5-035-225H and 8D5-035-225k. The vin number did not give the applicable part number.
My questions :
1. What is the correct part number?
2. Do I need to replace the orange item and what does it do?
Can anyone recoomend a used parts house. Audi wants over 200.00
