Antitheft Code (Radio Code, Safe Code) Help!

Had to disconnect the battery, when battery was reconnected radio went into safe mode and will not work without a radio code i have to input. Only problem is i bought my car used and dont have that code, i have a 96 A4 2.8 where could i find one? Would someone elses code work for me? If so can someone hook me up with a code?

check the sticker in the spare tire well, it should be there. If its not your gonna have to bring it

to audi and have them remove the radio to get the code.

You have to have the specific code. There is a serial # on the radio starts AUZ or such. You need to take that and the vehicle serial# to the dealer and they can give it to you in about 5 minutes.

owners manual

It is also in the front page of the sound system manual on a tear away card-that may be gone. Dealer may also have it on file if the are computarized.
