On the average how much oil ...
if any do audi motors burn between oil changes particularly the 2.8? I use Amsoil and changed my oil about 5k ago, checked my oil this morning and was down about a 1/4 of a quart. I dont know if its burning it or I have a leak, but does that seem alot for 45,000 miles?

Believe it or not.
Many car companies, including some German ones, feel that until you go throught more than 1 quart every 1,000 miles you do not have a "problem." That said, anything over 1 quart in 5,000 and I am looking for the cause. Less than that normally ain't worth trying to find.
