Avoiding speeding ticket points.

I don't know if this is true, but given the efficiency of the average DMV, who knows? This message has made the rounds at the office this week. In two states (VA & IN) I have tried this. They return your check for the incorrect amount and give you 10 days to send them the correct amount. By the time you get their reply, 48 hours are left on their clock. Now you've got a $15 FedEx fee to boot!
