Basic question: how does a turbo timer work?
...and I have searched the architevs, but all I've found is recommendations on using one (esp. with a chip), but no explanation of what they do...anyone?<p>'00 1.8TQS Tip

It keeps the engine running after the key is removed...
...to allow oil to circulate through the turbo and cool it off, prolonging the life of the turbo.<p>'00 1.8T QTSC

I'm pretty sure you can select the duration....
...and I think the unit is about the size of a pack of cigarettes. I think I saw a posted picture where a guy had hidden it behind the cup holder in the dash. Unfortunately, I don't remember who.<p>'00 1.8T QTSC

The Blitz Dual Turbo Timer has an automatic timer function that calculates time based on boost and load (something like that) and allocates the appropriate amount of time. It can also be preset to a time of your choice.<p>2000 Audi 1.8TQCS
