Battery Replacement

Am I an idiot? I'm trying to replace the battery in my 99 A4. I've removed the fairing that covers 90% of the battery, the one that has holes for battery and brake fluid service. I can't figure out how to remove the other cover that covers 10% of the battery, the one with the holes for the windshield wipers. Is there some trick, or am I just being stupid?

1/2 turn screw thingies...

black plastic philips head screws...i think 3 of them for the passenger side (only have to remove that side).

Once you turn each of the screws to "loose", then it will pull right out.
