I also got the clear repeaters. Unfortunately, we're in the middle of a little nor'easter up here in VT so I have to wait for a dry day to put them in. When I do, I'll be sure to post pictures of my first upgrade.
Of course, with my updated tails, my headlights are going to look rather dull. I'd like to get e-codes in the spring. But, since I have a 97 a4 what do I do about getting fog lights?? I hear you can take them from a newer a4, but what kind of effort am I looking at with that project? Or with e-codes will I really miss having fogs at all??

I say you'll miss the fog lights...
but I like the look of them, as well as their functionality 
Also, beware that you're going to need to swap one of the wires on your existing taillight plug in the car so that those nice new tails light up like they'er suppose to... been there done that.
Can't remember which ones inparticular, but nothing a multimeter can't help you figure out. Just need to pop the terminal out of the plug on the car side and switch two of them...

Imawesome has a 1998 and bought 2 bulbs and fixtures for fogs lights.. (more)
It was fairly cheap (as i hear) and it looks really good! He wired the normal foglight button to control his new ones, and it works very good.

this is it....
green and white wire controls fogs. So all you do is tap into that wire for your positive. Set the ground anywhere. Then when you push your fog light button (the one beside the hazard) your fogs turn on. Also have the city light wired in as well. So city lights turn on and fogs. Looks good IMHO
