Beeps while driving on the freeway....

After driving my new silver A4 1.8T I just got 2 weeks ago, I heard 3 consecutive beeps while driving on the freeway. I couldn't figure out what they were for. Everything looks okay with the car. My fuel gauge was getting near the first red line but still okay. Pls help me out on this. Called the dealer's service and they don't know why.

It could be the "speed alert" on the trip computer. It can be reset.

Your dealer could not tell you it was the speed warning? Danger sign?

Or it could be the "2-hour" warning....

After driving for a solid 2 hours, an alarm beeps to tell you that you should take a break from driving. AFAIK, this is a function of the trip computer (which I have on my '97) and is now standard on '00 A4's. If you don't have the trip computer, it must be some other warning beep like low brake fluid or low coolant.

Yep! Happened to me once also. Somehow the speed...

...warning had been activated. Whenever I'd accelerate past the set speed, it would beep. At first I thought I was hearing things because I had the stereo on, but then I noticed the visual. I don't remember how to reset it, but it's in the manual.
