boost controller
You guys say that a boost controller will overspin the turbo and break it in no time, but I am running no more boost than the chip has the car run. My question is, does the chip cut back boost at higher revs to prevent from over spinnign the turbo, and if so what does it cut back the boost to. As of right now I am peaking at 14 and the boost is holding at like 12-13 in the high revs.

You aren't pushing that much farther than a chip......(m)
My car spikes to close to 20 psi then settles around 15-16 and then drops to about 10-11 at around 6k rpms w/ the APR chip. However, your 12-13 psi in the upper rev range isn't really doing all that much for you. To sustain that kind of airflow, the turbo is just heating the HELL out of the air. I know the outlet temps are already hellish at around 11 psi up towards redline. Basically, you may have about 5-10 more hories, but your car will be much more prone to pinging in less than optimum conditions because of the very hot intake charge in the upper parts of your rev-range.
