Boost Issue

Lately when I get on it in 3rd or 4th gear in low RPMs, I have some hesitation and stuttering. Feels like the turbo spools up then stutters, I immediately let off the throttle. Is this a boost leak issue? I have been driving like a grandma ever since it first happened, so as to not let it happen again. '01 1.8T. Any insight is greatly appreciated...

Any honking noises? Might have a torn DV diaphragm.

So its fast then?

I'm not joking when I ask if its making any honking noises. My bet its either the diverter valve (pictured) or the N75 valve.

I'd check check all the vac lines first personally. Couldn't hurt.
