Default Boost Problems - Trying again

I posted this last night, but no one answered.. I'm trying again.

Need some advise. Since yesterday my car hasn't been boosting normally. My current setup is KO4, GIAC KO4 software.

Under normal conditions, it would spike 20-21 psi then gradually lessen as the rpm's rise.. Today it hits about 17psi then drastically drops down to around 7-10psi with the engine slightly stuttering. I thought maybe it was the ECU.. Tried my APR, same exact results, except lower psi (GIAC always pushed the turbo harder). I cleaned my MAF, still nothing. Did a compression test, everything looked fine. Looked for leaks, couldn't find any (although couldn't check very thoroughly because the sun was going down).

Is there any advise you can give me? What else should I be looking for?

Humm, you've checked your compression and all, also cleaned the MAF which is good...

But what is your MAF reading with the vag-tool...

What year is your car ? and what version K04 software do you have...(GIAC software should be good)

What condition is your BPV in...

Let us know and we'll try to help you...

Keep the faith, especially with the software...

Default Unfortunately....

I don't have a VAG-COM. I'm going to have to use my buddy's but he won't be available til next week.

My BPV is only 1 1/2 years old, but that really doesn't say anything.. Could be malfunctioning. I was thinking the BPV might be something to look at also.

Not sure what version GIAC it is, but I got it 2 years ago if that can give you an idea of what version they had at that time. I don't think it's the software because I tried another ECU with the same results.

How can I tell if the BPV is bad? Is there some sort of test I can perform?

Default Yea you really need to get someone with a VAG tool...

BPV would be my main suspect...you could just replace it temporary and see...(it is the stock one ? , if so get the TT 710 one for 30bucks...

after that I would not replace anything until you do some vag-logs...
