Boost question???
I recently purchased a 99 A4 avant 1.8t for my winter car. With no intensions of moding it I reacently purchased:
EPL Chip-installed
Boost Gage-installed
Torbosmart MBC-installed
Testpipe- not installed
710n-waiting install
Slotted roters with Hawk HPS pads-waiting install
When i first picked up the car from EPL i was boosting at 10psi in the lower gears and 15 in forth and fifth. The car was much slower than my friends a4 with a nuesspeed chip and exhaust. I purchased the MBC in order to boost higher in lower gears and increase some top end psi. I read numerous posts about guys boost at anywhere between 18-21psi. Anyway i turned the boost up a little and now the boost is more constitant but still only 15psi. The questions i have are:
How can i increase boost to 18-19 psi with my current chip?
Will installing a N75 race solve my problem?
Does anyone have a EPL chipped car? I have a custum tune from them on my stage 3 s4 and it is insane.
