Boosting Problems

I have a 98 1.8TQM. My car is only boosting 4-5 psi. Ive searched all around this site along with audiforums and audizine.I cannot for the life of me figure out whats wrong with my car.I've replaced the DV valve,replaced the n75 with a MBC,scanned my car for fault codes,and done a boost leak test.Nothing has worked and the only thing i could hear on the boost leak test was oil gurgling in my engine.I dont have any fault codes either,so im not sure if my cars in limp mode or what. But if theres anythinglse you guys can think of it would really help.

is it chipped? do you have acess to a vag-com? check block 032/long term fuel trims.

in the short term, open the hood and check the "L" hose.

No its not chipped,but i have my chip in the mail,so i really need to get this squared away because the chip is no good if my car cant hold boost..I dont think i know anyone with vag-com ,my buddy just has a snap on scanner. How do I check the fuel trim,and could you be just a little more specific abou the "L" hose,thanks.

I will def look into the L hose.But I think on audiforums they have a list of people with vag-com so I guess ill have to check the list for people around me.What am i looking for when I do check the fuel trims and the 032 block...sorry these 2 things never really came up when I was searching around.
