Bose or not?
How can I tell what radio was originally installed? Bose or non Bose?
The previous owner replace the OEM head unit with an Alpine aftermarket (with trunk CD changer). There seem to be an amplifier in the trunk.
The speakers do NOT have a "bose" logo on the screen.

I had a 96 A4 with the Delta and Bose Option (built in June 95). There were no Bose logos on the speakers they didn't add those until later. However the car was Bose and when you turned on the head unit BOSE was displayed for a couple of seconds.
The best way to check is to look at the wiring, for a Bose car the wiring for the speakers comes off of plug I, for non Bose it's Plug II.
If someone has butchered the wiring good luck.
Wiring for Concert and Delta shown. Speaker wiring is the same in both cases.

There are 4 low level (RCA) connector from the radio, so I assume the factory amplifier is a 4 channel, feeding the the front and rear (rear combined shelf and door speakers?).
