There are no KITS per se there. Read the site a bit more.
BIRA designs the BRACKETS only. The rest is up to you.
Why is it a club? 2 words: litigous society.
The brackets are extremely well designed and made. They will probably last a lifetime. However, it only takes one idiot who takes the cheap route and instead of buying factory bolts takes a chance with a set of grade 3 taiwan special bolts, breaks off his bracket, and then sues BIRA for negligence.
SO, it is run as an association, where you have to know and understand the rules before you can buy the parts.
I have no doubt the hoppen or whoevers kit will work, but $625 for 4 parts seems rather steep.

The MTM/Hoppen kit uses MTM adapter brackets and plain OEM A8 Rotors. The Velocity kit uses factory pad carriers (no adapters) with slotted and CAD plated OEM rotors and you also get Ferodo pads. Me personaly, I don't like using cheesee adapters when I can get the real part instead. It's funny because MTM/Hoppen was getting around $500 JUST for their adapter brackets until very recently. It's your choice but I still think it's a good deal!<p>99.5 A4

As Peter notes, they sell brackets, you buy rotors/calipers...
