Broken Odometer?

I just completed the Aluminun trim modification to my 1996 A4. Everything looks great, but now my odomoter and tripometer aren't working. I checked all the wiring and everything seemed pretty tight, so I'm not sure what I missed. The wierd thing is, if you look at it in very bright sunlight, you can make out the numbers. I can see that the osometer and tripometer are still incrementing, but its extremely hard to make them out. The rest of the instrument cluster is fine.

You must have a bad connection to the backlight for the odometer, or your bulb coincidentally burned out while you were doing the mod. Did you remove the instrument panel? I've never had mine out, so I can't help you out. But I have seen several threads regarding bulb replacement. Check the archives.
