bulbs

does anyone have pics of hyperwhite color bulbs on a4??? i wanna buy but i want to make sure the color will look right. I am trying to go for that HID look w/o shelling out the big bucks for it

I think the PIAA series looks the best...

Lot of the guys on the forum have Phillips though I believe.

I'm assuming you're running stock right now?

Yeah i am stock now... but i think PIAAs are too expensive for just bulbs... do you know any aftermarket websites which sell bulbs for cheap?

if you get cheap ones you are going to get decreased light output and run the risk of the bulbs

exploding in your housing/melting your wiring. Either shell out the money for real xenons, or get phillips or PIAA bulbs.

I have Philips Blue Vision as my hi beams...

they are a good match for 4300K HIDs (not as white), and 55 watts so they won't kill your wiring/switches.<ul><li><a href="http://www.powerbulbs.com">I buy from these guys - Never a problem</a></li></ul>

My personal experience with bulbs in Audi's....

I bought some cheapo MatriX racing bulbs. Bright as hell, but they fried my harnse wiring and had to get one of them replaced.

Then I bought a slightly more expensive bulb (about $40 for a pair) but they actually weren't as bright as stock ones.

So, for the price of frying the harnse, having to buy 2 bulb kits, I could've just gotten the PIAA's and been happy.

I'm running the Xtreme White Plus in my '91 Audi right now (9004 bulb) (55/65 burns at 4000K) and they are awesome. I'm always going to recommend PIAA's over anything else and it's not just because the cost but it's their ability to perform.

Granted once I get Xenon's in my A4, I won't have to worry about bulbs, but whatever.

explanation...

the stock lights in your head lights is 55W. Also, there are 2 seperate bulbs for your hi and low beams fyi. You need to find bulbs that will fit in the sockets of an A4.

Also, shamelessly, I have a brand new set of Lumiko xenon effect bulbs for sale if you're interested. I got them from SPP, but never put them in. If you're interested email me.
