button on driver side post...what is it, what does it do??

I've been told by a friend, but I don't know how to use it, and don't know if he's even right!!!
Please fill me in.

If your car came with an owners manual...read it.

If not, buy one. The button turns off the interior motion sensors. It turns back on next time the alarm is armed

oh yeah, its a 98 A4...

if i had a book, do you think I would ask...lol, how exactly do you go about using it.
Press the button, exit and then lock the door...

lol, after completing 3 years of university, you understand the importance of using

resources and reading instructions. hahaha.As for the others, I have no explanation. thanks though.
