A/C and the outside temp sensor...
FYI... if your outside temp sensor is busted, like mine, then your AC can go wacky. For instance, the display in the dash will tell me that it is -10 F, so the AC pulls air from outside to cool the cabin. This would be great if it actually were -10, but since it is 85 I get a blast of hot air. Doh. The system will pull outside air until it hits about 35, then the compressor will kick back on.
Anybody know what would make my outside temp sensor go haywire? Sometimes it is accurate, but others it will shoot down as low as -55 or as high as 115. This is wicked annoying and I'll have to go to a dealer for the part (good thing i still am inder warranty).

I had the same issue and it ended up being the sensor on the intake air duct
below the pollen filter there is another sensor and the climate control calculates both of these sensors, but if one is failing it will cause similar issues, mine started doing the same thing shortly after replacing my evaporator.
Do yourself a favor and VAG it to see which sensor is causing the issue, I thought it was the one by the bumper but after investigating further it turned out to be the other sensor below the pollen filter.
