A/C Problem
already STFA for a day
2001 A4 1.8T Quattro
intermitten a/c problem. blows cold then not then blows cold.
VAG did not come up with anything.
HVAC on board diagnostics did not show anything.
Did some testing and code 55 showed extreme reading fluctuations when problem appeared. By time I got to that code, the reading was 11 celccius. I checked 58 and 59 but reading was normal. when 55 got back to 20, a/c turned on. Any thoughts? Is it just the sensor in front of radiator or something else? want to knock this out. TIA
55 Outside (ambient) temperature, in deg C or deg F depending on setting on A/C control head

57 Temperature in deg C, from Interior Temperature Sensor, in Instrument Panel (G 56)
58 Temperature in deg C, from Fresh Air Intake Duct Temperature Sensor (G 89)
59 Temperature in deg C, from Outside Air (Ambient) Temperature Sensor (G 17), front
60 Temperature in deg C, from Ambient Temperature Sensor At Fresh Air Blower (G 109)
