A/C question

I just bought a 2000 A4 and still haven't quite got the hang of the interior climate controls. Is there a setting that allows the vents to just blow in unwarmed (or uncooled) air from the outside. If it's nice and cool out, I'm happy to just blow in air at that same temp. In Japanese and American cars, this would be called the Vent Setting. It seems the Audi system is so automated that you have to set a temperature and let it work its magic.

Otherwise, I love my car.

Your a/c/ answer............................

The owners manual (at times) can be a little confusing. Set the temp control to the low setting or "LO". That is Audi's answer to the "vent" setting.

and then fiddle with the fan & vent controls for manual mode

Econ (Audi) = Vent (everyone else); Econ mode turns the compressor off in my 99.5
