Cargo nets - all the same?
Stopped at my dealer today to pick up the cargo net I never got 5 months ago w/ my 99.5. He handed me a net out of his drawer and sent me on his way. Unfortunately, I didn't have the car w/ me so I didn't get to fit it until I got home. What I noticed was that the hooks fit around the net rings very tightly - enough to have to squeeze them on - and that it's not quite square, making me wonder if it's for a TT or something. It's definitely an Audi net, but the question is might I have one for a different model or are they all the same? I wouldn't care but it was supposed to come with it in the first place, so I want the right one. Thanks

There are several cargo nets that fit the A4 sedan. The price ranges from a low of about $25
to a high of about $75. For a short period of time in 98 A4 Sedans actually came with original
equipment cargo nets, but then that free option was stopped. The following cargo nets are
currently used by some A4 owners:
1) Mercedes Cargo Net (part #Q-6-75-0015) - cost about $25 note: has black elastic material
throughout net and has no cinching device. Some state that it is too large and does not
adequately keep items from moving in the trunk.
2) Audi Cargo Net (part #8A9-065-110) - cost varies from $60-80 note: it is made of loose
fitting black twine material. It is larger in size than Jeep Cargo Net. Some have commented
that it is too large and cannot adequately cinch down on items under the netting material. It
does contain a cinching device.
3) Jeep Cherokee Cargo Net (part #82201486) - cost about $53 note: it is constructed of
black twine material and includes a cinching device to tighten down on enclosures. It is
smaller and includes clips that attach to receiving hooks in floor of trunk.
At last report, the A4 Avants came equipped from the factory with cargo nets.

I purchased a set of three cargo nets from LLTek. I haven't had the interior pocket net installed yet. The trunk liner one clips onto the four D-shaped rings and fits fine. I was a little disappointed in the net that fits on the underside of the trunk hood. It should have velcro straps that keep things from falling out when you close and re-open the trunk. The 3 piece set was about $79 and is in LLTek's catalog.
I called LLTek to let them know that the trunk hood net doesn't work as well as it should. The guy I spoke with wasn't very helpful. He advised me to add the velcro strips myself.

Re: Could you post a pic of the interior pocket net when it installed?
I'm not sure when I am going to install the interior cargo pocket. It may be awhile. It probably would be better to call LLTek (1-888-465-5835) and ask them to send you their Audi Catalog. There's a picture in the catalog which shows the interior pocket.
