CD Changer install

When installing a CD changer, do I need to disconnect the battery before connecting it up in the trunk and then reconnect the battery so that the Symphony head unit will recognise it?

No. Just turn the radio off, plug it in, and turn it on.

If it's hooked up properly, the headunit should "see" the changer.
