CD Changer Installation Problems
I bought a used CD Changer for my girlfriend's 97 A4. I installed it and everything worked great initially except that after a few minutes of driving, the front passenger side speakers cut out. It only happens when the CD is playing and the speakers work great with the radio. I've played around with the connection, which will fix the problem for a few minutes, but after driving over the first bump the front passenger speakers cut out again!?! Has anyone else experienced this? Any ideas how I can fix the problem? Has anyone tried to hard-wire the connection (ie. cut the connectors and directly attach the corresponding wires)? Thanks.

Maybe some help....
After installing my CD changer in my '97 A4, the sound while playing a CD only came out of one side of the car (can't remember if it was left or right).
I tried the changer in my buddies '96 A4 and it was fine. I tried his changer in my car, and it still only played out of one side.
Took it in to the dealer. They pulled the headunit out and found that the CD-changer wiring was loosely connected. That fixed the problem and I haven't had a single problem since.<p>Andy Hedin
