cd head

I have a 1.8TQMS without the Bose system. I am looking to install a new head with cd under $500, and do not want a multidisc changer. Does anyone have any recommendations? Thanks.<br>Erich

I've always had Alpine, can highly recommend it, but the coloring won't match and you'll need an adapter plate, if you care.

Blaupunkts (bad spelling) are fairly inexpensive and have a nice red glow

Alpine used to sell a kit to change the display color...

I had an Alpine head unit 10 years ago that came with a red display. The bulbs for the display were actually clear with a removable, red colored, cover for each bulb. The dealer ordered me a set of green covers and it took about 1/2 hour to change them out. I dont' know if things are still done that way, but its worth checking. Alpine apparently thought at one time that it was a good idea to let the customers change the display color so they may still support it.
