Default CEL

My check engine light has been on ever since I installed my PES intake. I noticed i was getting bad gas mileage ever since I installed the intake. Im getting about 40 miles less per tank, I was wondering if that was normal?? I disconnected my battery for about 30 min after putting the intake on and the CEL never went away. Now my gas meter(forgot what its called) is inacurate, it sais i have no gas left when i have about 2 gallons. Anybody know whats wrong w/ my car. Its a 2000 1.8TQ 5spd and im getting about 190 miles per tank. Engine Mods are Pes intake, catback exhaust, apr chip, TT diverter valve.

Default You might have damaged the MAF in the process of installing the intake

before buying a new one, I would recommend cleaning it with 70% ethanol. The faulty gas gauges probably has nothing to do with the intake, and is just a faulty fuel sending unit. This problem isn't uncommon either and there is a fix in the tech article.
