Central locking problem
Hi all
I have a 1997 2.8 pre facelift sedan with the following central door locking system problem:
Since my remote does not work anymore (other problem), I have to open my doors with the key
On the passengers side door locks and unlocks normally with the key, but on the drivers side it only works in on direction, it locks, but does not unlock
I first thought it had to do with the mechanism on the door handle, as I had a broken of lever that connects de doorlock cilinder to the locking mechanism by means of the metal push / pull connecting rod.
I repaired that issue now so that is working correct now, but still the same problem continues: driver side door locks but does not unlock by key
Anybody has an idear where to look?
I allready took out the doorlock mechanism wich has a connector with 3 wires (Among wich are 2 brown ones) which to me could make sense re locking and unlocking but this is basicly the point where I got stuck.
I cannot find this part off the 3 wires on the doorlock in any electrical diagram and also I am in doubt now wether the issue is electrical, or mechanical (doorlock mechanism)
So any input or clue would be highly appreciated!
