central locking system problems... help?!?!

central locking system problems... help?!?!
1. monday morning - unlock car, drive to work. i live in maine, and we got hit with HUGE rain and winds, not sure if this has anything to do with it(thought maybe something got wet, shorted out).
2. get to work - try to lock car, doesn't do anything, thought batteries might finally be dead in fob(they've been weak), so i lock the door from the outside with the key(only driver's door was unlocked), and after work buy new batteries. key fob doesn't unlock car(no flashing lights, nothing at all), then i realize the lock/unlock button inside the car does nothing. i can still lock/unlock everything manually from the outside, but all electronic locking functions seem dead.
3. just checked fuses(it's been raining everyday until today, so i didn't open it up until now) and fuse #6, iirc - central locking fuse 5a, is fine. didn't see any other fuses listed in the manual that suggested any others.
so any ideas/input? thanks.

that pump is located in the trunk right?
i just printed off the tech article for that, might be a saturday project. along with cleaning the sunroof contacts and changing oil, and maybe a nice wash if time allows.

yes it's in the right side of the trunk. don't wait this out, it takes about 5 mins to get out pump.
and the tech article doesn't detail that u have to remove about 10 screws from the rear plastic panel to get it off, from the picture there it shows him removing one or two screws. anyway you gotta take this whole thing off.
oh ya and if you open the pump and remove the circuit board that's hanging there, see if your graphite thing is smashed, mine is.

Interesting. We got the same rain in New Hampshire and now my dome lights won't shut off ever (unless you manually switch them off) and the power windows won't deactivate until/unless you open a door. Open/close any door and the under dash lights go on/off as they should. All fobs and locking work fine. Any way to "reset" the centroal locking system?

Can you guys post links to these repair manual docs you mention? Or even post photos of the pump for others?
Symptoms for my GF's 2003 Audi TT conv.
1. gas door won't pop
2. trunk won't pop
3. neither FOB does anything
4. rear storage box won't unlock (it's a very strong lock!)

A4 information would not be helpful at all, a 2003 TT is more similar to a Golf/ Jetta/ Beetle actually.
