check engine light
Recently my 1999 A4 1.8t check engine light went on. Using a Snap-On scanner, I recieved a code P1136. From what I know each number represents a certain function, with the first number being a (1) I'm certain that the problem has something to do with either the air/fuel mixture or fuel delivery. My first thought might be that the hotwire on the mass air flow sensor may have some crud on it, that's only if the car has a (m.a.f). The 1.8t motor is new to me so, I'm slowly learning how everything works. Does anybody out there have any input on this subject. I could go right to the dealer, but I'm not satisfied with the service from the (2) local dealers within the area I live.
