Check engine light error code 16518.
After my ECU problems of today my check engine light has come on with the "16518 - O2S B1 S1, No activity" code. Is this just an O2 sensor that has quit working?

Quit working? Hard to say, check this out...
O2 sensor has 4 things that can happen to it..
Oxygen Sensor Circut, Bank 1-Sensor 1 No activity
Activity Detected(code 16518)
However, u also got the same bank/sensor with "Malfuction" or "low voltage" or "High voltage" or "slow response"
On its face, No activity....I would take it as the O2sensor is Dead? but so can malfuction.
Check the connection to the 02 sensor and also un-plug the battery for 10 minutes and see if the ECU can waik up and get some activity to the o2 sensor....Push come to shove, get ready to pony up some $$$'s i think they are like $180 bucks from friendly local audi stealership.
