Chip advice...
I have an 98.5 1.8T and I am ready to chip. I have finished with all the regular maintenence stuff. I have been trying to read through post after post about the different chips but I can't find any side by side comparisons.
I need to know which chips have the better programs. Also, I am still new to this but I think I have a Non-DBW, so I am not sure if this matters. I couldn't find any info on the REVO chip for the B5.
Mostly I want to hear what people that have used more than one chip think about each one they used.
HP #s, Torque, fuel consumption, ect...

make it easy on yourself, find out what "chip/software" dealers you have in your area...
GIAC and APR seem to be the favorit
I have GIAC and love it, but I also have a GIAC dealer 15 minutes down the street from my house.

I live in DFW area. I think we have a pretty good variety of chip dealers..
here. Even then I don't want convience to be my reason for my choice. I actually want something that I can add on.
I want to start small and eventually go big. I want to wait until the warranty is up before I start swapping turbos. However I might be interested in getting bigger injectors and diverter soon. Does any manufacture have anthing better than a stage 1 setup for a 98.5?
