Chip Learning?

Just wanted to say a little about my chipping experience...

I chipped my '01QTipSX just about 3 weeks and 400 miles ago, (APR w/Spare ECU and EMCS). At first, I was a little bit disappointed. I had expected more. Byt today, I got a chance to goof around a bit, and it seems the car is MUCH stronger than it was just after I chipped. Did I learn the chip, or did the chip learn the driver? Or... is it my imagination?

ECU learned the chip actually, its gets better after some driving. Especially spirited driving.

It also learns you're driving style and maximizes performance to match driver... pretty smart eh'

Does this make it difficult to buy another person's ECU, or will the chip "learn" the new driver?

Anecdote...

OK, this might fit into the same category as alien abductions and green magic markers on CD's but I felt this too.

I imagined that for the first couple days with my "new" ECU, the car's performance was nothing to write home about but over a little more time it seemed to improve substantially. It also seems to come home from the dealer feeling a little lackluster and rough around the edges after what is supposed to be just an oil change (maybe they are poking about or resetting something) and it gets back to its old self within a couple days.

I have also convinced myself that I am imagining that the audio head unit display momentarily blanks out once in a while. Seems others are halucinating just like me...
