Chipping?????

This topic comes up about every few weeks or so and there is quite a bit in the archives. For a more detailed description of my own experience, you can also check out my car and chip findings in the registry.
In short though, the results of chipping a 2.8 will depend greatly on your expectations of what the chip can do. If you're hoping for 25-40 hp gains that the turbo guys enjoy, forget it. If you're looking for better bottom end torque, cleaning up the 3.5K-4.5K flat spot in the power-band and some extra power from 6,000-RPM through to redline, and over-all improved throttle response, you're on the right boat.
IMO it was money well spent and after 8 months, no regrets.
