Default Clear Corner Mod Complete

Took a stab at the clear corner mod today - VERY satisfied with the results. I
do see the holes - but from afar the are not that noticeable. I may experiment
with something to clean that up. This took me about 3 hours to complete . . .
the most time consuming being drilling out the tabs holding the amber lens to
the headlight assembly. Thanks to Jasyn Chen for the write up in the <a href="https://www.audiworld.com/tech/ext5.shtml" target="_blank">tech
section</a>.

Default looks good, did the same to my silver a4 about 2 weeks ago and experienced the same thing,

the hardest part was drilling out the tabs - oh yeah and getting that infamous 3rd screw out of the bottom of the car after dropping it down the side I'm very impressed with how good this looks, I would just like to do paint the turn signal bulbs silver (somebody did this and wrote up how to do it - anybody?).

Default Re: To retrieve that infamous 3rd torx screw - I used magnet on the end of a telescoping rod . . .

The things you find in the dollar bin come in handy every now and then. This thing I'm talking about is the size of a pen, but telescopes out to about 2 feet in length and has a strong magnet on the end. I loosened the 3rd torx without taking it out - then put the magnet to it - and voila I had the screw! Worked putting back in as well - I did not use the "paper towel" method described in the write up.

Default Are the signal bulbs equivalent to 1157?

If so, I'm wondering if these might work well in there:

I have these in my Acura CL (a low-miles silver Type S I'm selling in South FL if anyone is in the market ). They are expensive, but look fantastic with cleared out corners. They are pale yellow when off, and amber when on or flashing. Not quite as transparent as the Osrems, but at least they are dual-filament and readily available.

On a side note, if you think that clearing out these corners is difficult, you should see what we go through with CLs/TLs. Phew!
