cliffs of insanity question?

do you guys still have a map of the drive or can tell me roughly the good route along the river.

ill be up in that area tomorrow with a couple hours to kill.

What time are you coming up?

If you want to take the drive mile for mile I should be around in the afternoon, and I did plot out the drive, so...

Otherwise I can give you some directions from memory.

dropping my gf off at 12:30 in the cloisters which is not too far from there

i have 3 hours to spend, but i have to make a 5 minute stop in rockland (exit 10-11) on my way back to the cloisters

The cloisters is in NYC, right?

The drive starts about 45 minutes North of the City, and it's about a 2 hour drive from the start.

You might not have enough time, but if you want a shortened version, let me know what way you plan to come North.

well, the cloisters is on the east side of the hudson just above the GWB

was figuring id drive up along the hudson tryin got hit whatver good roads were there up to the bear mountain bridge area.
then across to the palisades, quick pit stop, and continue to the GWB.

im not sure where your drive is, but i figured it was south of the bear mountain bridge.

im not gonna be in town for the real day so i figured mayeb i can make my own little drive

if you know any of the roads, maybe i can map them out before i head up tomorrow

Well most of the drive is North and West of the Bear Mountain Bridge,

but some roads you may want to check out if you have the time: Take route 9 down until route 202/9 which goes up the mountain and eventually to the bridge, after that you are at the traffic circle that can put you onto the Palisades Parkway back to the GWB, or you can make the first right on the circle to 9W North/202, follow that to Route 218 and than turn back.

9 is pretty fun, but it's barely the beginning of the drive.
