Does this mean the module is shot since it doesn't seem to finish the test?
Does the external temp gauge control what the climate control does?

Any help would be appreciated.

Default Where are you located...and have you checked the fuses?

Fuses 3, 5, and 15 have some link to the climate control system and I'm assuming associated motors etc...

Where are you getting these codes from....they don't seem to match Bentley. The codes should be like 16394 through P2138 I think...

Default Re: Where are you located...and have you checked the fuses?

The fuses are ok. I can hear the climate control module clicking and the flaps move and the fan changes speed but it doesn't blow hot air all the time. The heater core and both hoses are hot and sometimes it starts to blow hot air but it doesn't do it right. The codes are right from VAG-COM. Other older posts described diagnosing using the "basic settings" feature in VAG-COM but I don't know what each "basic setting" does. FYI, I am near Harrisburg, PA.

Default Are they all on the same connector?

I'd have to check the wiring diagram, but it seems odd for all four to be out. A common ground isn't an issue, because they are each powered by two wires, which the head can reverse.

Have you had the radio or anything in the central console worked on, where they might've erred in reattaching one of the connectors to the head?

I'm wondering whether these four are all on the same connector?

The fan freaking out may be the head trying to compensate for its inability to control other circuits.

Default It works... I did nothing!

I was fully prepared to yank the radio and control module to check connections the wife came home with it working! the codes were gone. One of two things happened... 1. the codes were right and one of the doors were blocked. 2. There is a bad connection and the problem will return soon. Since the blocked door doesn't explain the outside temp being wacky too. thanks for your help though

Default problem solved

new (used) climate control module from Shokan fixed the problem. Thought I'd close this thread out by sharing the news. Better late than never I guess!
