clunk help
I've been hearing clunks for about as long as I've had my car, but they're getting bad now. The worst is when I'm slowing to a stop (normal braking) and I hear/feel a series of clunks just before I stop. Almost feels like something releases which causes the clunks. Also, if I slow ALMOST to a stop, and then accelerate again, I get a nice big clunk. The trans fluid has never been changed. Is this likely a trans issue, or a differential issue? I've also heard some people suggest it could be a worn mount(s) of some kind. Any help would be great!

I get the same thing at times, TIP will try to downshift right when I accelerate causing it to clunk
into gear. I'm going to try to recode the tranny to the old style and see if that helps. It won't downshift to first unless at a complete stop.
