Computer question for VAG-TOOL users......
My laptop computer (Old CTX) is shot and the one I want to replace it with (Toshiba Satalite 2805) does not have a serial port. It does have a couple of USB ports
Has anyone used the cable that comes with the software with a USB to Serial Port converter cable?

Try the vag-com list over at egroups.
I tried it on my vaio it too has no rs232 ports without a damned replicator.
I used a xircom usb -> rs232 and no luck.
UWE says it is because of the serial protocols
that must be used.
