Control Arm ?

Control Arm ?

I called a local shop to ask if I could bring in my car for a quick diagnosis and told them that I had a slight rattle in the fron end (coming from the rear of the engine or under it???)... The rattle doesnt change at higher speeds and is noticable when idling... I was told that it was likely the control arm. Does that sound right?

Noticable when idling? Doubt its a control arm, unless its severely gone.

Take the tires off and try and move the arms...if one of the arms is bad enough to rattle at idle...you should be able to move it easily by hand.

There is no "groan" or any wierd feeling when driving. just a rattle....

i wouldnt notice anything if it wasnt for the slight rattle... and im under the impression that there are noticable creaking/groaning noises when turning and such?? am i right?
