coolant leaking
I have a 1998 Audi A4 2.8 For the past year I have had to deal with my engine coolant leaking I have taken it multiple times to get it repair and it seams there is just no fix. The first time they told me it was the coolant reservoir tank cap ( which they replaced ), second time it was the water pump that was leaking it was also replaced, third time there was a o ring missing in the bottom radiator hose which was also replaced. I am still having the same problem, does anyone know if these cars have a tendency for this kind of problems.

It's a 13 year-old car so things made of rubber will deteriorate, metal will corrode if not maintained properly. Maybe all of those things your mechanic replaced were leaking, or maybe he hasn't fixed the real leak. There are plenty of places for a leak to occur, you or someone needs to be observant and find them. Try to figure it the leak is coming from way in front (radiator), front of engine (thermostat), middle of engine (block core plugs), or rear, where there are a number of hoses and connections, and the coolant temp sensor.
I recently had a leak from my '96 2.8, it was a heater hose at the back of the engine.

I would ask them to do a long term pressure test on the system.
