Coolant tank question....

I recently replaced my coolant tank and hoses. Not sure if I'm missing a hose but the bottom of the tank has an outlet. I'm wondering if a hose should be attached to it or if its some sort of overflow?

If it's the tube I think you're talking about, it's for overflow.

Take off your tank cap and look down... Should see the ground... That little part?

Bottom of the tank has an electronic sensor. It's probably hanging down there somewhere.

thanks guys! That's what i suspected. So does it just drip and evaporate?

it shouldn't drip unless you overfill it or the system overheats and overflows...

and if it overheats and overflows, you'll see a bit more than a drip, and it'll evaporate all right... all over the driver's side exhaust DP if you have a 2.8 :-P
