crankshaft sensor harness voltage?

crankshaft sensor harness voltage?
96 a4 12V manual
Car cranks but does not start.
Crank sensor fault shows up with vagcom.
I tried another sensor and still the same. I get no voltage at the harness that connects to the crank sensor, with ignition on or even while cranking.
Wiring to the ECU is good and i tried a spare ECU as well.
What's the voltage that i should on that connector? And what else can i check?
