Daily Driver setup.
Ok, so I recently chipped my car. I love the power I get at WOT and the car sounds mean under load, but this is my daily driver. What is going to make my hour long 70-75mph trip more enjoyable?
I would love to put a 2.8 tran in, but the chip only seems to give me power via boost with the pedal past 50%. I don't think that will be enough to turn that trans at lower rpms with everyhting else being stock. At what point do I just go get an S4, or a 2.8 A4? I'd have to mod so much to get this car comfortable on the highway.

a 2.8 a4 ?? How's that an upgrade ? (edited)
Big turbo will definatley help you out with fun factor. in regards to a 2.8L only real mod is S/C. Everything else adds a few giggles. Stick to the 1.8T. Much more to mod

True, only an SC would help a 2.8, but...
190hp across the board for traveling may be better than bursty power of the 1.8. Or, am I missing a few key mods that would help for cruising? How will a BT make it act?

I've ridden in his car a bunch at 70 - 80mph and it cruises along fine in 5th with gradual power. It's torquey in 1st 2nd and 3rd.. but in 4th - 5th it's really a gradual build up of power. So i'm not sure which of those mods did it... but it's smooooooooth
