Damn It!!!
Well, on tuesday of this week I raced a Jr broker here at the brokerage firm I work at. He has a GT Celica 2000 (short shifter) and I smoked. Of course he wanted a rematch so this morning we went out to hit it again. The conditions were right for me. It was lightly sprinkling and crisp. Well fellows (and ladies) he took me by a full bumper. He blamed my victory a couple of days back on his driver error. I believed him but I thought I would dominate him this morning to (I was wrong) We have to have a rematch next week. Or perhaps he has better driving skills than me. Only time will tell. I am still bitter but loosing fairly builds character right?

What points are you shifting at? (more)
I haven't tried this myself with a timer, but I and others have noticed what feels like faster times if you shift before redline, maybe a little over 5k.
Also, when you start are you reving to 2500 rpm and letting the clutch out, or are you reving higher and just dropping it?
One other note, I wouldn't try to power shift in your audi. Or if you can I haven't figured it out yet.

I was taking it to red line each time, I will try to take it to 5000rpm
The launch, well I did rev hi and drop it but I feel like if i only take it to 25000 rpms and let it out easy I wouldnt have a chance. Perhaps that would only apply to quatro ( better traction) Dont get me wrong I will try it though.. Thanks for the advice

No no,
there is a little stretch of road in the industrial center close to our office that is always void of other cars. Public safety is a must in my book!! Besides, who wanst to be known as a pri#@ who races around town. Not me..
